Morning En Plein Air Painting with Alisa Beck

Join us for a thought-provoking and inspirational outdoors art workshop open to artists of all levels. Painting outdoors—also known as en plein air—isn't just about enjoying the sun and the breeze, although that's certainly a big part of the fun. It's also a great way to paint from direct observation, whether a landscape, portrait, or anything nested in nature. 

The instructor, local artist Alisa Beck, will show participants how to observe light and shadow, mix colors, and paint using a wide range of application techniques. The class is limited to 10 participants; advance registration is required. All artmaking materials and easels will be provided; participants are encouraged to bring their own chairs and any water or snacks and make sure to dress for the weather.  In the case of inclement weather, the class will be rescheduled.

Class scholarships are available upon request.
